Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park, named after Alberta’s late Lieutenant Governor, is located southwest of St. Albert and primarily consists of Big Lake. The park is also the site of the John E. Poole Interpretive Wetland facility, which includes a Ducks Unlimited trail and boardwalk with interpretive signs. Recognized as an Important Bird Area for its abundant and diverse bird populations, especially waterfowl and shorebirds, the park is a favourite for walkers, hikers, and bird watchers. You can also hunt for hidden geocaches while there.
